Down the hill about ten feet away sat a small
gravestone. With the light shielded, she could just make out the
name on it. KALEB was deeply imprinted into the stone, written in
black against the gray background. “Kaleb!!!!!!” she called out as
she ran quickly down the hill on her heels, trying not to fall. She
fell at the grave and began digging. “Kaleb! No! Kaleb!” she called
out as she dug with her hands. Finally she reached him. Opening
the box that held his tiny body, she reached in and cradled the
infant to her chest. There on her knees, she began rocking back and
forth with him. “My Kaleb.”

I started reading this book and I could not put it down! It is very inspiring and I love that it teaches forgiveness! I can't wait to read more of your books!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am writing my second one now! I would love to know what part was your favorite and why so i can improve my writing!
ReplyDeleteI'm new to this....so my question may sound silly...but what was your inspiration with this book?
ReplyDeleteMy inspiration started when a few of my friends had a loss in their life in the form of miscarriage or infertility and the book revolves around the Little boy named Kaleb! It's a story about learning to forgive and accept things as they are and move on!
ReplyDeleteWell that sounds wonderful! I haven't read it yet, but my mother says it is a "must read"!
ReplyDeleteAre you coming to the Jacksonville, Fl area?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book!
ReplyDeleteI love that you teach forgiveness and You must have strong beliefs such as I? I love the battle also!
ReplyDeleteYes i tried to add as many twists as possible and every character is linked to one another somehow as you read through the novel!
ReplyDeleteWas there something or someone in your life that inspired you to become an author? What would you tell someone who wanted to or have thought about becoming an author? For me, I have thought about writing children's books, but wouldn't know the first thing about how to go about get started.
ReplyDeleteI have not read your book but the premise is great and I think I will have to get a copy. I love reading . Is it out in regular print in department stores ? Our Borders bookstore is gone, so,now it is either order them on line or find them in our local department store. I wish you much success and I am sure this book will be.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was stuck in the book! I did not want to put it down! Because it is a small world and all are connected somehow! It reminded me of my family and friends!
ReplyDeleteCindy, the book right now is on amazon.com, reimannbooks.com, barnesandnoble.com and the kindle and nook! i am working hard to get it in retail stores but haven't gotten over that hurdle yet!!!
ReplyDeleteI dont have any plans as of current to visit florida but once i become a fulltime author and travel i will be there!
ReplyDeleteSam, i would have to say that it was a passion i had since i can remember. i have always enjoyed being the storyteller and deciding how different roads will turn out for my characters. For this book specifically i would say my inspiration was situations that happened to my friends and the loss of their unborn children!
I'm a local photographer to Maryland and Jacksonville, NC! If you ever need some photos done... feel free to come my way! I'd love to get a copy of this book to try and read it between sessions and editing. Maybe I'll borrow my moms :)

Sam, Go for it! the kids books some of the other authors that are published by my publisher sell the best of all the books when we do signings! Just pick a main character, a basic plot and run with it! it will turn out perfectly! My novel started as a completely different story and morphed into what it is as i wrote and had more life experiences!
ReplyDeleteThank you for answering my questions...have a wonderful evening and good luck with everything! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks sam and good luck!
ReplyDeleteI actually love photography to and maybe in need of some family photo's soon so i will keep beforetherain photography in mind!
Dianna, I am in the middle of the book now, and have to say that some parts are very moving. Reading some of your responses, indicate to me that you were writing from your heart.
ReplyDeleteOne of my questions would be, who are some of your favorite authors.

ReplyDeleteI will be looking for the next book also. I must say that so far this one is excellent.
ReplyDeleteWas Kaleb a family name, or someone from your imagination.Or a friends name.
ReplyDeleteI have a great nephew with the name, Caleb and was just wondering.
ReplyDeleteKaleb is a favorite name of mine for a boy and since my husband didnt like the name for our little boy i used it as a character name!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for being here and answering questions for us. I'm sure I may have more after I have finished your book.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I really like the name also.
Your welcome! i am so glad to have this opportunity! i feel like my writing career is on its way now!
ReplyDeleteJust some random book info..... Kaleb is the personification of the little boy my friend miscarried. Kayla is a lot like my mom with the things she faces spiritually in the book. Keith and Joshua are like the warm blanket that god gives us when we finally find our way and choose to make the right choices!
